3 Easy And Fun Ways To Decorate Your Pumpkin This Halloween

Posted by Catherine Conway on

It's Half Term, are your kids getting bored already?  Are you desperately trying to find entertaining things to do?  Don't worry you are not alone, so am I !!

Halloween is a week today and pumpkins will need to be carved at some point.  We have put together a few ideas that will make your pumpkins stand out from the rest AND keep the kids busy (for a while anyway!)

Foliaged Pumpkins

This is such a simple and yet effective way to decorate your pumpkin.  Just pop out to the garden or local park to collect a range of colourful leaves, bring them home, dry them and press them. Then simply paint your pumpkin with chalk paint and once dry use clear PVA glue to découpage the pressed leaves to the outside or your pumpkin. (read more www.countryliving.com)

Gold Confetti Pumpkins

We are totally in love with this gold confetti pumpkin design from Homey Oh My! such a simple design that even the young kids can get involved with.  Pop over to Amy's blog if you would like a tutorial as she has lots of other amazing designs that are right on trend that you may want to try. (read more www.homeyohmy.com )

Tack-O'-Lantern

You can't really get simpler than this design which just uses a matte coloured paint and drawing pins! Jus paint your pumpkin in your desired colour using a matte finish paint, then write your spooky word with an erasable wax pencil.  Once done use a hammer to tap in the drawing pins along the script. (The shorter the word, the better as it is easier to read.) read more www.countryliving.com

MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN ...CREATE WHAT EVER WEIRD AND WONDERFUL DESIGNS YOU CAN AND POST THEM ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE SO WE CAN SHARE AND DELIGHT.
